Musician - Performer - Teacher

 

Steve has been a professional musician for over 30 years, working in bands, teaching & recording woodwind (saxophone,clarinet & flute) & electric guitar.

Steve formed Jump The Q  with his wife Fiona in 1992. The band recorded three original albums, and gigged around the North East before moving into the wedding, function, party & live entertainment workplace full time. The band can be book by following the above link for all types of events.

Steve was recently invited to session on Brazilian superstar Dj's Dubdogz, & world famous Dj Steve Angello / Laidback Luke's remixes of the club classic Show Me Love, originally by Robin S. Dubdogz contacted Steve after viewing his instrumental version of the song on YouTube.      

Steve has played alongside some of the biggest house music DJs in the world while he was resident sax player at the Middlesbrough Empire's Sugar Shack in the 90s.

Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work, Jeremy Healy, Sasha, John Digweed, Frankie Knuckles etc, all welcomed Steve's playing when appearing at the club. 

Steve still plays regularly alongside house, deep house & EDM DJs, and can be booked directly to enhance your night / event. Steve plays regularly at clubs and late bars throughout the northeast, and dates of where, and when he is performing at these public venues can be found on his Facebook page here.

Steve also works as music teacher in North Yorkshire, County Durham & Cleveland. Steve teaches LCM grades 1-8 and the higher diploma levels on Sax, Clarinet & Flute.

Steve holds the following qualifications,

CTABRSM, Cert GSMD & LGSMD.
